All about The Gray

The Gray has been playing & writing music for a while now and started playing the piano around the age of six. Since then he has forgotten almost everything he was ever taught and is now learning all over again. He has been in a number of bands, playing a variety of styles but now prefers the solo musicians life.

Musically The Gray's influences can come from anywhere although film scores feature high on the list, with composer like Thomas Newman, Michael Giacchino, James Horner, Howard Shore, Racheal Portman and of course John Williams being the ones he listens to the most.

This influence is noticable on most of the tracks on the Caravan EP, and is an area that The Gray hopes to develop and work in more. Already The Gray has witten/scored the music for 3 short films and his work in television/video is growing slowly.

The Gray describes his music as ambient-ish ramblings with a classical influence. He would like to think that his music is emotional and evocative with catchy phrases but as music is perceived differently to everybody he leaves the final judgement to you.
